In March 2018, our Senior Pastor, David Chadwick, will lead us through a series of sermons on prayer. Prayer is a powerful part of the Christian life where we enter into the presence of God to worship Him and seek His help. It's a privilege and a means of receiving God's grace that was bought by the blood of Christ for the benefit of God’s children.
To help you and your LifeGroup understand and practice this means of grace, we've created a discussion guide for you to use during your group meetings. These guides are designed to help you and your group read and meditate on the passages from Luke that David will use as the foundation for his sermons.
Habitat Home Preservation Project: April 20 and 21, 2018:
For the third year in a row, Forest Hill Church will partner with Habitat of York County to complete home repairs for an elderly homeowner in the Paradise Community. There will be one shift of 10 volunteers each day from 8:00am-3:30pm.
You can play an active role in the revitalization of the Paradise neighborhood and help bring hope to it’s residents. Once again, we will partner with Habitat of York County in preserving a home and improving the quality of life with repairs to the inside and outside of the home of a qualified resident.
Community Day in the Park: April 21, 2018:
This year we will expand our engagement in the neighborhood by offering a Community Day on Saturday April 21st from 10:30am—2:30pm There will be activities for children of all ages and we will need volunteers to help set up and lead each one. This is a great family serve event and an opportunity to bring people together to build relationships and put God’s love into action.
If you have questions about these opportunities, please contact Betsy Hendricks: firstname.lastname@example.org. Or sign up at the link below.
Summer is a time to rest. Though when we're packing bags and setting itineraries and making hotel reservations, it might not seem that way. When we're on the beach, we hopefully take time to rest, to be with our families or loved ones, to bask in God's glorious creation ...
